Our Curriculum
Unleash your child’s potential with Kinderland
Aligned with Australia’s Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
Australia’s Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) guides learning for children from birth to five years. It recognises that development is dynamic, holistic and interconnected across many areas. These include cognitive, language, physical, social, emotional and creative development.
The EYLF is grounded in Belonging, Being and Becoming. Children feel secure through relationships and their community (Belonging). They explore and make meaning in the present (Being). They grow into confident and capable individuals over time (Becoming).
Kinderland’s K.I.N.D.E.R. Multidisciplinary Curriculum aligns closely with these principles. It integrates inquiry, relationships, creativity and communication through meaningful, play-based experiences. This approach nurtures the whole child with learning outcomes that are tailored through age-specific approaches at each stage of development.
We believe that every child has the potential to be the best he/she can be. By preserving the excitement and wonder of childhood, children will experience the joy of learning, and become life-long learners and global citizens with a heart.
The K.I.N.D.E.R. Multidisciplinary Lands Difference
At Kinderland Early Learning Centre, our curriculum is thoughtfully designed around the K.I.N.D.E.R. Multidisciplinary Lands. With close to five decades of continuous research and development, our professional team is committed to provide high-quality bilingual education for children from birth to five years old.
The curriculum brings together six key developmental domains aligned with the EYLF learning areas.
These include language and literacy, numeracy and inquiry, social and emotional development, physical development, creative expression, and character and values.
Our thematic, music-infused approach supports learning through play, exploration and meaningful experiences. As a bilingual early learning centre, we offer English and Chinese, supporting early language development in a natural and engaging way.
Our Unique Programs
Bilingual Exposure
Our bilingual programme supports children in building confidence in both English and Chinese through meaningful, play-based experiences.
Aligned with the English curriculum, shared themes across both languages provide a cohesive and enriching learning journey.
Children engage with songs, rhymes, stories and hands-on activities that make learning a second language natural and enjoyable. They are encouraged to express their ideas through drawing, mark-making and early forms of writing.
As children grow, interest-based mini projects are introduced at the kindergarten level. These experiences provide authentic opportunities to explore the Chinese language and culture while developing curiosity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Through stories, music and cultural experiences, children deepen their understanding of the world around them. This supports confident communication while nurturing a sense of identity, bel
Music
By weaving music into everyday learning, we create a vibrant environment that nurtures creativity and unlocks the potential of every child.
At Kinderland, music is an integral part of each child’s daily learning journey. Through singing, rhymes, rhythmic movement and music-based storytelling, children experience the joy of self-expression in a natural and engaging way. This reflects our long-standing belief in the important role music plays in supporting early language development and holistic growth.
Studies have revealed that including music in school curriculums support listening skills, language development, coordination, as well as concentration and memory. Guided by trained educators, these experiences also encourage children to express emotions, build confidence and develop a sense of rhythm and connection with others.
Early Literacy
At Kinderland, we nurture early literacy through meaningful, play experiences that build confidence and a love for language and learning
Children are supported to develop strong foundations in listening, speaking, reading and early writing. Through stories, songs, conversations and hands-on activities, children begin to understand how sounds, letters and words connect, at their own pace.
We encourage children to express their ideas through drawing, mark-making and early writing. This helps them see themselves as capable communicators from an early age.
By creating language-rich environments, we support children to become confident readers, expressive writers and thoughtful communicators, ready for their next stage of learning.
Character Building
Kinderland believes that who a child becomes is just as important as what they learn.
Our approach to character development is grounded in everyday experiences that nurture empathy, respect and a sense of responsibility. Children are gently guided to care for themselves, for others and for the world around them, building strong foundations for social and emotional wellbeing.
Through play, group interaction and meaningful conversations, children learn to recognise emotions, develop resilience and form positive relationships. These experiences support their sense of Belonging, help them grow in confidence in the present (Being), and shape the individuals they are becoming (Becoming).
We encourage children to be compassionate, mindful and socially aware — fostering kindness, independence and a positive growth mindset that supports them both in preschool and in life.
Outdoor and Nature Play
Outdoor play is an essential part of every Kinderland child’s day, supporting their wellbeing, allowing free exploration and a connection to their natural environment
Our centres feature secure, purposefully designed outdoor spaces where children can move freely, explore natural elements and enjoy time in the fresh air and sunshine. These environments are thoughtfully curated to encourage curiosity, capability, confidence and active play.
Through hands-on experiences with nature, children are invited to observe, investigate and make sense of the world around them. Whether engaging in imaginative play, physical challenges or simple moments of discovery, outdoor learning nurtures resilience, independence and a sense of wonder.
By integrating outdoor experiences into our curriculum, we support children to develop a lifelong appreciation for nature while building strong foundations for healthy, active learning.
Our Enrichment Programs
At Kinderland Australia, our enrichment programmes are thoughtfully designed to complement each child’s learning journey. Developed and curated in-house by our early childhood specialists, and informed by insights from educators across Japan, the US and China, these programmes draw on over four decades of experience in early learning.
Carefully tailored for children below the ages of five years, each experience supports their developmental growth while enhancing and extending our core curriculum in meaningful and engaging ways.
Children’s Music Program
Suitable for children 3 years and above
Instrumental music, taught by Music Specialist, unlocks new areas in your child’s cognitive growth. It complements the Kinderland’s music-infused curriculum. Instrumental musical training develops the part of the brain that controls visual-spatial skills, vital for learning maths and science. It sharpens memory and improves verbal intelligence and literacy. Research has shown that formal music education helps to promote children’s brain development.
Beyond classroom learning, Kinderland, in Singapore, is the first and only preschool with a marching band and stage ensemble. Our experienced performers from the marching band and stage ensemble had put up countless performances for dignitaries in occasions like Early Childhood Conference 2019, Octoburst! 2019 & 2022 – A Children’s Festival by Esplanade and President’s Night Challenge 2025 organised by MediaCorp.
Coding
Suitable for children 3 years and above
An essential 21st-century skill, coding helps prepare our young children for this technology-reliant era. Coding supports children learning, helping them be effective communicators. It also builds children’s computational thinking, patterning ability, critical thinking and reasoning skills while encouraging innovation and creativity. All to nurture our children to become confident and independent future-ready learners.
Our preschoolers will learn how to manoeuvre and navigate age-appropriate introductory programmable gadgets, to achieve the expected outcomes for their assigned challenges. Children’s competencies in gadget awareness, programming, coding play behaviours, and the use of appropriate coding vocabulary are reviewed regularly. Children are also given the room for innovation to help them develop their creativity and potential.
